Paseo calls itself The control plane for coding agents
, and at the keyboard it earns it. It runs agents in parallel while you watch, from more providers than we dock, with native clients for your phone, your desktop, the web and the terminal. It is free and Apache-2.0. If you are sitting in front of the work, it is the better tool, and we would rather say so here than have you find out later.
Where Paseo is ahead
- Breadth of providers. More than thirty, against our eleven registered and mostly unverified.
- Several agents at once. In parallel, while you watch. Warding runs the one harness you choose for chat; its router can send a spawned subagent to another installed harness in the background, unwatched and not yet verified.
- Clients. A mobile app, a desktop client, the web and a CLI, and voice input. We have a web dashboard, a CLI and chat apps.
- Triggers. Scheduling, and GitHub, Slack and Discord events.

Paseo when you are there to watch. Warding when you are not: the nightly build, the dependency bump, the triage that should be waiting for you at 07:00, each behind a policy the agent cannot open.
